Abstract
Project Management in a Government Context
Development in the public and private sectors often achieve similar
outcomes but the project drivers can be very different. While the
private sector's considerations are predominantly financial, project
management in government brings many other factors into play, including
achieving government objectives, working across a range of government
agencies and dealing with greater scrutiny from the media and public.
Paul Eagles, has an extensive background in both the private and public
sectors and will use his most recent experiences as CEO of the Urban
Land Development Authority to discuss the unique considerations and
challenges of managing projects within government.
